14 Days Left
Close to 24 hours in a plane is a tad rough but, I'm in Kisumu Kenya, Africa.
I love it. Already dreaming about coming back.
We visited an orphanage today. I met the most priceless girl, Maggie. She was found when she was thought to be six months old, really one and a half. Now she's five, and thriving.
I've eaten like a real Kenyan, almost. At least I've eaten there basic staple. Ugali is eaten almost every day.
I've driven through Kenyan traffic. Where cars drive at each other FULL SPEED until there a couple feet away and then they SWWWWEERVE out of the way at the last second.
I've not cried. Yet. =) I'm sure you'll hear about that experience when I come to it.
I'm sitting on a bed surrounded by nets that look like drapes. Bed nets so we won't get that stupid deadly Malaria. I can't help but thinking about the kids out there on the street who don't have six shots in their arm, and aren't sleeping under a net so they don't die from malaria.
It's hard to not think about them.
Tomorrow we get to go to the Agape Compound, to worship with a bunch of kids. Yay!
Can't wait, and I hope it doesn't go by too fast.

well, I had to comment because i am so excited for you that you are in Africa...along with your folks. Even though we have been to a different country in Africa twice, (Lesotho) Tim has been three times..I fell in love with it when I went..it's in my blood! I am so excited that you get to experience this at such a young age. It's absolutely life-changing! We were supposed to go again in November but the trip was postponed. I am excited to hear what you see, feel, hear and EAT! I think about how Tim leading your dad to the Lord way back in college and how thrilling it is that the baton has been passed down to you as a young person. Soak it all in!!Enjoy!! Much love to you all three!
Thanks for the encouragement. I know isn't that awesome??? Luv you back.
